Have you logged on to Twitter lately? Most likely, you'll see a notification about the new feature "Lists." Twitter lists are "timeline you build yourself, consisting of friends, family, co-workers, you name it." Essentially, it allows you to sort the users that you’re following into useful categories. You can check out other users' lists (if they’re public) and make as many lists as you'd like.
